People can get emotionally wounded in relationships and for emotional healing to occur it may be helpful to encounter someone in a completely safe and trusting therapeutic environment where they are free to express and uncover all causes of stress, disturbance and discomfort. It is for this reason that Simona’s work places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of personal growth and emotional healing. Each individual therapy is tailored on a case-by-case basis and may incorporate a number of approaches including developmental theory (psychodynamic, attachment, intersubjectivity), person-centred therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, gestalt and psychosynthesis.
In cases where clients are unable to verbally express their personal stories and emotional distress, Simona may also utilise art mediums, a psychotherapeutic intervention which allows for the expression of deep and personal issues through a symbolic language. This therapeutic technique very often leads to insights and resources otherwise too well disguised and inaccessible to the conscious mind.
