BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
Scott is a qualified psychotherapist, holding a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy. He works in accordance with the code of ethics and practice from the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). Before studying to be a Psychotherapist, Scott worked as a professional musician which involved extensive travelling. This served to enrich and enhance his lived experience. Upon undertaking his studies and his one-to-one work with clients, Scott realised the importance his creativity could bring to his work in psychotherapy. Scott now merges this creativity with his studies and clinical experience when working with clients.
Scott’s training began from a humanistic integrative approach; however, he has steadily gravitated more towards a psychodynamic standing. He works with the client at their own pace, exploring the areas in their life, past and present that may be inhibiting them from living their life to the fullest. His humanistic integrative approach allows a greater self-awareness and a deeper self-acceptance, while enhancing relationships and helping the client to gain more control over their life.
