Kevin is a qualified psychotherapist, holding a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He has been working as a psychotherapist in a private practice since 2014. Kevin’s work in affiliation with a GP service has seen him gain experience working on a one-to-one basis with clients suffering anxiety, trauma and depression, as well as with a range of other issues. At various points in our lives, we will find ourselves stuck, often repeating processes that are not befitting us. Whether in terms of our thought processes or our behaviour, it can be difficult to understand why it is we find ourselves engaging in these repetitive and self- defeating practices. Even when we desperately want change, it can be elusive and difficult to bring about. By exploring relationships – past and present, with others and with ourselves – we can identify what it is that is proving an obstacle to what it is we want. Kevin works from a Humanistic perspective. Working with Kevin will allow a client to explore those areas of their life that they deem most relevant to the work. Humanistic Psychotherapy assumes that each client is the true ‘expert’ in relation to their own life, and their own distress. It respects each individual’s inherent tendency towards growth, while understanding that this growth can be blocked often and for an infinite array of reasons.
