Profile 

Nicky is a qualified humanistic and integrative psychotherapist.  She is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and works under their code of ethics and practice guidelines.

Nicky creates a warm and contained space that facilitates clients to develop greater insight and self-awareness.  Nicky believes the development of self-awareness leads to more clarity, ease and empowerment in daily living.  By giving a deeper context to clients’ autobiographical story, Nicky guides clients towards greater self-understanding, emotional expression and successful communication, thus enriching clients’ relationships with themselves and others.

Approach

Nicky works collaboratively and creatively with clients so that they may find their own path towards living with more meaning and fulfilment.  Nicky takes a holistic approach to working with clients where the full range of emotional experiences is welcome in the therapeutic space from giddiness and joy to hate and rage.  Nicky has worked with a diverse range of clients at various stages of life.  She has specific experience in supporting people working at all levels of corporate environments with professional wellbeing, mindset and organisational development.

As an integrative therapist, Nicky incorporates many modalities and approaches depending on the client and their circumstances, some of which are:

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (how the past influences the present)

Gestalt Therapy (understanding the context of current experiences)

Object Relations (focuses on the various relationships in life)

Body Psychotherapy (embodiment, somatic experiencing, nervous system regulation)
