Profile
Lorraine is a qualified and accredited counsellor/psychotherapist. She holds BA (Hons) degree in counselling & psychotherapy and works in accordance with the code of ethics and practice from the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). She has been working with clients on a one-to-one basis since 2006 and has gained a wide range of experience.
Lorraine completed a diploma in Gestalt supervision with Dublin Gestalt Centre in 2015/16. She is an IACP accredited supervisor.
In 2019 Lorraine completed level one in sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Sensorimotor psychotherapy joins cognitive and somatic techniques. This is important in treatment as trauma itself can have an overwhelming effect on the body and can manifest as somatic symptoms.
Lorraine also worked in Pieta House as a psychotherapist for over 7 years
