Paul is a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working in the hospital and health care sectors. Paul completed his undergraduate degree in Edinburgh between 2005 and 2009. Following on from his undergraduate, Paul worked as an Assistant Psychologist in addiction service at Bullingdon Prison, Oxford. Subsequently, he worked as an Assistant Psychologist within inpatient adult psychiatry services and a community personality disorder service in the North East of England. Paul then completed a post-graduate certificate in Durham University in 2012. Paul returned to Ireland in 2013 and then completed his Masters and Doctorate training at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). During his time on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Paul worked in a wide range of services with a variety of client groups including; early intervention, child and adolescent mental health, adult disability, adult mental health and older adult services. Paul completed his Doctorate thesis exploring the relationship between attachment, psychological morbidity and burnout in care givers.
Paul is available for assessment and intervention work with both young people and adults. Paul uses an eclectic approach to treatment, which is tailored to suit each individual client. Paul uses a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mentalization Based Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Mindfulness.

Paul’s fee is €120 (for first 3 sessions €100 thereafter)
