Profile
Celia is a fully accredited and experienced Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist working under the code of ethics set out by the Irish Association for Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists (IAHIP) and the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Celia’s approach is based on the centrality of the therapeutic relationship. Within the context of a safe, secure, warm and non-judgmental environment, clients can explore their feelings; develop insight and awareness into their own process and find healing and acceptance in themselves. Through the therapeutic alliance, Celia believes, the possibility exists for the client to have a new experience of unresolved issues in old relationships or to find healing in longed for but never realised relationships
Approach
Celia adapts her approach to meet the clients’ needs with openness, compassion, kindness and flexibility. Within a humanistic integrative and person-centred approach she also draws on the influences of Gestalt, psychodynamic, existentialist and object relations modalities to help to inform her practice
