Profile
Orla is a qualified humanistic and integrative psychotherapist and Certified Associate of IAHIP. She works according to the code of ethics and practice set out by the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists (IAHIP).
Orla focuses on bringing a sense of compassion to her work with her clients, meeting them where they are right now in their lives, and supporting them in the areas in which they wish to grow and develop. She is inspired by the often transformative processes of psychotherapy which can help clients to experience themselves and their world in new and different ways.
Orla has a passion for helping her clients to explore the underlying patterns and dynamics which can influence their feelings, emotions, decisions and behaviours. She works to help clients find and create meaning for themselves and their experiences in the therapeutic process.
With a background of experience in both corporate environments and the community and voluntary sector, Orla has developed a deep understanding of the types of dynamics at play in different organisations. Orla has worked with various minorities, and uses her experience to help clients who may be feeling marginalised in their lives. She frequently works with people affected by sight loss and has received Counselling for Sight Loss Accreditation from the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).
